Dr Vinay Reddy
Dr Vinay Reddy is a Pain specialist physician who believes in a comprehensive and balanced approach to pain management. 
 
Dr Reddy completed his postgraduate specialist training from the world-renowned centres of Royal Free Hospitals, St Barts and University College London (UCL) Hospitals. He attained well sought after postgraduate qualifications and trainings from UK and Australia. During his training period, he was also involved with pain research and delivered projects like radiofrequency treatment for sacroiliac joint pain and management of widespread pain.
 
Before moving to Australia in the year 2021 he worked as a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at some of the leading teaching hospitals in London. He then moved into the roles of director for pain services, senior clinical advisor to international pain services and peer reviewer for some of the leading pain medicine journals.

Approach to pain management

Dr Reddy has more than 10 years’ experience in chronic pain management. He knows it is important to listen to patients to understand their pain experience and expectations. Pain management needs stepped approach, patience and perseverance and he is committed to offer this to his patients.His approach is expert assessment, review of pain and its impact. He offers additional diagnostic tests if needed including diagnostic blocks, providing with a diagnosis and reasons for pain. He goes through comprehensive treatment plan with all the options in his initial consultation.

Dr Reddy uses multi-disciplinary approach to pain management which includes.

  • Self-management strategies
  • Dietetic plan and where needed a referral to dietitian.
  • Involving allied health as needed
  • Complex medication management and 
  • Pain injections.

Dr Reddy offers various pain interventional treatments including and not limited to:

  • Joint injections 
  • PRP injections
  • Nerve blocks, sympathetic blocks, epidurals and nerve root blocks
  • Medial branch blocks, radiofrequency (RF) and pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) treatments
  • Botox injections
  • Ketamine and lignocaine infusions
  • More complex procedures like spinal cord stimulators and peripheral nerve stimulators.
