Dr Catherine Algie

She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree with honours. Following this she completed a Bachelor Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in at University of Queensland winning awards for academic merit.

Dr Algie has gained experience in treating a wide variety of pain related conditions undertaking training at Royal Melbourne hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Austin Hospital and Royal Women’s Hospital.

  • Fellow of The Australian And New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
  • Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery, University of Queensland.

Positions

Dr Algie holds public positions at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Monash Heath, Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and consults privately at Epworth Richmond and Epworth Camberwell.

Additional Professional Activities and Contributions

Dr Algie is dedicated to teaching the next generation of clinicians and contributing to clinical practice through high quality research. She has published in the areas of pain, anaesthesia sustainability and patient safety. She is a member of the ANZCA Faculty of Pain Medicine Victorian Regional Committee.
